Communicating
in the Workplace
Effective communication
is the cornerstone of career success.
In this class participants learn and practice communication skills
to:
- listen more effectively to customers,
coworkers, supervisors;
- stay calm in conflict;
- resolve problems respectfully; and
- present views and ideas calmly and
appropriately.
Participants get ample time to
practice these skills in class. Lively instruction and class
discussions focus on how to apply the skills in the workplace.

Building in the Workplace

be on a team that is successful. In this class participants
learn and practice team skills that:
- improve the productivity of
team meetings;
- promote contributions of all
team members; and
- use goal setting and consensus
building techniques productively.
Participants practice the skills
in challenging team exercises. Lively instruction and class
discussions focus on how to apply the skills in the workplace.

Problem
Solving in the Workplace
The ability to respond
quickly to the changing demands of customers is essential
for the success of any enterprise. In this highly interactive
class, participants learn clear
problem solving steps using data and objective methods to
analyze and creatively solve problems. They also learn how
to explore problem solving
with an emphasis on the team environment and on customer expectations.

- Identifying problems
- Discovering customer expectations
- Finding the root cause
- Problem solving in a group
- Brainstorming solutions
- Implementing and monitoring solutions
