About Our Staff

PEP staff members have an extensive background in the area of career coaching and employment transition. They offer a unique expertise in both group facilitation/training and individual coaching. Each holds a graduate degree, and is a member of the American Society for Training and Development. Here are other individual highlights:

Marsha Austin brings exceptional creativity to her classroom facilitation, specializing in graphics and design of interactive group exercises. She holds a master of arts degree in counseling psychology with a business emphasis from Santa Clara University. Marsha has a background in education, and has delivered training in both the public sector as well as in her own consulting business. Recent PEP clients describe Marsha as “wonderfully skilled” and “clearly passionate about empowering participants.”

“I like to think that PEP skills are more like Tai Chi than Karate. They are gentle, yet amazingly powerful.”

~ Marsha Austin

Janie Trainor brings a practical, “real world” tone to the classroom, and is a master at using advanced facilitation skills to impart learning. Janie holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, and is also a published writer. Her diverse professional experience includes marketing and operations management in business and human services environments. A PEP participant describes Janie as “very effective, and a great role model in consistently using the workshop skills in a natural manner.”

I guarantee that these skills will make you immediately more effective in the workplace. I've noticed
my coworkers at NOVA using them, and I can see the positive effect they have on their work teams.
